This animation shows the roof in use with the panels down in order to provide shelter to the individuals walking from the roundhouse to the lifts . To protect the artwork and individuals, these panels create a roof on top of the walkway bridge if cover is needed.
BRIDGE 1
Bridge 1 connects the roundhouse to the elevator which travels up to the two studio rooms. It includes rotating panels which are a moving element providing coverage for students walking below during bad weather conditions. To embrace natural daylight and Sydney weather, the roof is kept open as seen in the animation) and can be rotated down to form a full roof when needed. The bridge can also be used as a gallery to display student work. Artworks can simply be attached to the inside of the glass window.
